================================================================================

1. INTRODUCTION

================================================================================

Welcome to Pianica ("we", "our", or "us"), an all-in-one interactive piano mobile application and music learning academy developed and published by Arisoft. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure, transparent, and trustworthy experience for all musicians, students, educators, and families.

This Privacy Policy describes in detail how Pianica handles information, device permissions, on-device audio generation, data collection practices, and Google Play Data Safety compliance when you install, access, or use our mobile application.

By installing or using Pianica, you acknowledge and agree to the data handling practices described in this document. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the application.

================================================================================

2. GOOGLE PLAY DATA SAFETY DECLARATIONS

================================================================================

In accordance with Google Play Store Data Safety requirements and global privacy standards, we make the following explicit declarations regarding all user data within Pianica:

• No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade any personal information, user identifiers, or device telemetry to third parties or data brokers under any circumstances.

• Data Encryption in Transit: All network transmissions initiated by third-party services integrated within Pianica (specifically Google AdMob and Google Play Services) are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) cryptographic protocols.

• User Data Deletion Mechanism: Users have absolute autonomy over all application data. Because Pianica stores user educational progress, streaks, custom compositions, and settings exclusively on the user's local device, all data can be permanently and irreversibly deleted at any time by clearing the application storage via Android system settings or by uninstalling the application.

• Families Policy & COPPA Compliance: Pianica is built to be safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. When child-directed treatment is designated or when the application is utilized in Kid Profile mode, ad requests are restricted to non-personalized, family-certified contextual advertisements in strict compliance with Google Play's Families Policy and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

================================================================================

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT & DATA COLLECTION PRACTICES

================================================================================

Pianica distinguishes strictly between First-Party Data (information handled directly by Arisoft) and Third-Party Data (information collected by certified third-party software development kits for ad delivery and infrastructure):

A. First-Party Data (Zero Remote Collection)

Arisoft does not operate remote user databases or collect personal user profiles. All piano sound generation, pitch detection simulations, lesson progress tracking, XP points, and multi-track compositions are processed and retained 100% on-device inside your phone's sandboxed local application storage. We do not transmit your practice history or musical performances to our servers.

B. Third-Party Data Collection (Google AdMob & Google Play Services)

To support ongoing maintenance and provide free access to all piano instruments and learning curricula, Pianica integrates the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC). Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-sensitive data, which may include:

• Device & Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android devices, resettable by the user, used for ad attribution, frequency capping, and ad measurement.

• Coarse Location Data: General approximate location derived from your device's IP address (such as country or city level) to serve geographically relevant advertisements and ensure territorial regulatory compliance. Pianica does NOT collect or access precise GPS coordinates.

• Device Information & Specifications: Hardware model, operating system version, device manufacturer, carrier, display resolution, and interface language settings.

• Ad Interaction & Performance Diagnostics: Non-personally identifiable telemetry regarding ad viewability, impressions, click interactions, crash reports, and system latency to ensure stability and detect invalid traffic or ad fraud.

================================================================================

4. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

================================================================================

Pianica is engineered from the ground up as a privacy-centric application. We do NOT collect, process, or store any of the following categories of information:

• No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for or collect your real name, email address, postal address, phone number, national identification numbers, or social media handles.

• No Account or Registration Credentials: You can use all core features, piano keyboards, lessons, and composition tools without creating an account, registering, or logging in.

• No Financial or Payment Information: Pianica does not collect or store credit card details, debit card numbers, bank account numbers, or billing addresses.

• No Biometric, Health, or Sensitive Data: We do not collect fingerprint, facial recognition, health, fitness, religious, or political data.

• No Camera, Photos, or Contact Access: Pianica never accesses your device's camera, photo gallery, media storage, contact book, calendar, or SMS messages.

• No Audio Recording or Wiretapping: Pianica does NOT record ambient sounds or conversation. Pianica does not include or request the RECORD_AUDIO permission.

================================================================================

5. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED

================================================================================

The limited data processed in connection with your use of Pianica is used strictly for the following legitimate purposes:

• To deliver musical instrument functionality, audio synthesis, lesson evaluation, and interactive visual keyboards locally on your device.

• To save and persist your educational achievements, lesson completions, unlocked difficulty tiers, custom song recordings, and user preferences on your phone.

• To display contextual or personalized advertisements through Google AdMob, which fund the ongoing development and free availability of the application.

• To detect, prevent, and mitigate ad fraud, bot activities, and technical errors across different Android device configurations.

================================================================================

6. THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING & SERVICES (GOOGLE ADMOB)

================================================================================

Google AdMob is an advertising service provided by Google LLC. Information collected by Google is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We encourage you to review their practices:

• Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• How Google Uses Information from Sites or Apps That Use Our Services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

• Google Advertising Technologies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

User Opt-Out and Advertising ID Control:

You can manage your personalized ad settings, reset your Advertising ID, or completely delete your Advertising ID at any time directly through your Android device settings:

1. Open your Android device "Settings".

2. Navigate to "Google" (or "Privacy" on some device models).

3. Tap "Ads" or "Ad Services".

4. Select "Reset advertising ID" to clear historical associations, or select "Delete advertising ID" to prevent advertising tracking altogether.

5. You may also enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" where supported by your Android OS version.

================================================================================

7. DEVICE PERMISSIONS & HARDWARE ACCESS

================================================================================

Pianica requests only the bare minimum system permissions necessary to function properly on the Android platform:

• android.permission.INTERNET: Required to establish network connections for loading advertisements from Google AdMob and fetching web typography fonts.

• android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Used to optimize audio buffer latency and dynamically route high-fidelity synthesizer sound through internal speakers, external wired headphones, or Bluetooth audio devices.

• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Declared in compliance with Android 13+ requirements to allow the Google Mobile Ads SDK to handle advertising identifier requests.

• Microphone Access Not Required: Pianica does NOT declare or request the android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO permission. The Audio AI Studio transcription feature operates via software-driven synthesis simulation without accessing or capturing audio through your physical device microphone.

================================================================================

8. DATA RETENTION, STORAGE & DELETION POLICY

================================================================================

All educational statistics, lesson milestones, skill radar points, custom tracks created in the DAW Studio, and exported MIDI files are saved locally on your device within the app's private, encrypted sandbox storage.

We do not retain copies of your musical files, progress, or recordings on remote cloud servers. As a result, you retain 100% control over the lifecycle of your data.

How to Permanently Delete Your Data:

You can permanently delete all data generated by Pianica at any time by taking either of the following steps:

1. Clear App Data: Open Android Settings > Apps > Pianica > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage (or Clear Data). This will immediately erase all saved lessons, custom recordings, profiles, and cache.

2. Uninstall the App: Uninstalling Pianica from your Android device will permanently remove the application sandbox and all associated files.

================================================================================

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY & COPPA COMPLIANCE

================================================================================

Protecting the privacy of children is of paramount importance to Arisoft. Pianica is designed to provide safe musical exploration for users of all ages, including children under 13 years of age (and under 16 in the European Union).

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K), and Google Play Families Policies:

• We do not knowingly collect, request, or store personal information from children.

• In Kid Profile mode or when child-directed treatment is designated, ad requests to Google AdMob are explicitly flagged with "tagForChildDirectedTreatment" (TFCD), which turns off behavioral and interest-based ad tracking and restricts delivery exclusively to contextual, family-certified advertisements.

• Parents or legal guardians with questions or concerns regarding our children's privacy protections are encouraged to contact us directly at advancedresearchandinnovation@gmail.com.

================================================================================

10. DATA SECURITY

================================================================================

We implement rigorous technical and organizational safeguards to ensure your data is secure:

• Local Sandbox Architecture: All music synthesis, pitch algorithms, score rendering, and practice scoring execute within the sandboxed environment of your Android device, protected by the operating system's security boundaries.

• Transport Layer Security: All outbound communications handled by integrated Google libraries use secure HTTPS/TLS encryption to prevent eavesdropping and interception.

• Zero Server Attack Surface: Because we do not store personal credentials or music catalogs on central servers, your data is not susceptible to remote server breaches.

================================================================================

11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

================================================================================

Under global data protection regulations, including the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have specific privacy rights:

• Right to Know & Access: You have the right to know what categories of data are collected and processed.

• Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your data at any time.

• Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for monetary consideration. You can opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising through your device's advertising ID controls.

• Right to Non-Discrimination: Pianica provides complete access to all piano instruments, lessons, and musical features without discrimination regardless of your privacy choices.

================================================================================

12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

================================================================================

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications to our application features, new educational capabilities, or evolving legal and regulatory standards. When changes are made, the revised policy will be posted directly within the Pianica application and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
